I fell In love with Hudson and Lia quickly! Their love story was different from most that I've read. They had their ups and downs but I was always rooting for them! I laughed and cried and I am so glad I read Love, Tussles and Takedowns. Hudson's problems are some that I know many veterans must face but unless you are directly affected its hard to understand. I have a much better view now. Lia was perfect for him and his recovery and their happily ever after started! It's a great book....a must read!!!Product details

Wow! Another great story. This book had my emotions all over the place. Hudson's story is so true to life for so many soldiers right now, and Lia's back story had literally sobbing. But this book wasn't all doom and gloom, it was just a small part of the overall story. I loved both the verbal, and physical sparring between these two, I thought it was so HOT!!! The humor between these two were off the charts too. And her brothers? They were over the top hysterical with their protectiveness. What I loved the most though, was that Violet Duke chose t wrote the character of Lia as this kick-a** woman doing a man's job, and doing it even better than most men could have. But she sure met her match with Hudson, that's for sure.
I was a bit disappoint that the plight of the lost soldier was never resolved.
Ahhh Hudson and Lia...I really liked these two. Honestly Lia HAS to be a gift from another world with how sweet and patient she is. These two damaged souls come together to heal each other with the best known power to man Love.
With acceptance and caring these two create quite a powerful couple. I love that Hudson isn’t so careful with her. He doesn’t treat Lia like fine china. This is what made me truly and really LOVE Hudson.He know’s she can hold her own and doesn’t coddle her. He also chose her over his career. I know that seems miniscule but at the end of the day he chose love and it made me so happy!!!
This was a super sweet love story that really highlighted acceptance and loving past the flaws. I enjoyed that there was a bit of military background in there and that Lia was pretty kick ass if not perfect and ethereal in every way. I especially loved her family unit. I mean her brothers are pretty spectacular and I kind of hope more stories come our way about them. The whole town of Cactus Creek is pretty Amazeballs!

Violet Duke does it again! Love Tussles and Takedowns, book three in the Cactus Creek series, is a sweet story of two strong but damaged people. A strong alpha, Hudson doesn't give himself to many. Just as strong, Lia, also keeps her heart to herself. But from their first sight of each other, there is a connection between them. They decide to become "friends with partial benefits". They help each other fix the broken parts. I loved the interaction between them and Lia's brothers, who have made themselves her personal protection squad. There is love, sex (hot), humor, and hand to hand fighting (between Hudson & Lia!) A good, quick read you will love.
